Vigyan aur puraanon ka rishta bahut purana hai. Jabki vigyan anubhavon aur tathyon par aadharit hai, puraanon mein vishwas, kalpana aur chinhon ki duniya ke upar hai. Lekin haal hi mein, logon mein vigyan aur puraano mein bhi sambandhon ki parakh ho rahi hai. Aur jab hum hindu puraanon ki baat karte hain, to ismein vigyan ke sath bahut saari milan ki baaten dikhai deti hain.
Hindu dharm duniya ka ek sabse prachin aur adhik jatil dharm hai. Ismein kaafi varshaon, praniyon aur vishal bhumandalon se sambandhit prasangik kathaon ki pustak hai. Haal hi mein, vaigyanikon aur vidvaanon ne hindu puraano ke vaigyanik aur itihaasik pehluon ko khojne shuru kiya hai aur ismein kuchh vaigyanik tathyaon aur gyaan prapt hue hain.
Hindu puraano ka ek sabse dilchasp pehlu "yugon" ka vishay hai. Hindu puraano ke anusaar, brahmand ke kee yug hote hain, har yug ka kuchh hote hai aur har yug mein adhyatmik aur naitik patan ki bhoomika hai. Jiske antargat, aaj ki yug ko kaliyug kehte hain jo sabse adhik avanati aur bhramit hai.
Yugon ke baare mein abhi tak keval puraanon ka ek kalpanik khayaal maana jaata tha, lekin haal hi mein vaigyanikon ne yugon ke vaigyanik adhaar ke bare mein pata kiya hai. Kuchh vidvaanon ne yugon ko "prakashantar" se joda hai, jo ek vaigyanik parivartan hai jismein sitaron ke sthaan ka samay-samay par badalav hota hai. Is siddhant ke anusaar, pratyek yug precession ki alag alag stithiyon se juda hota hai, jiske antargat Kali Yuga prakashantar ka sabse nichla point hota hai.
Yugon ke alava, Hindu puraanon mein ayurveda aur chikitsa ke bare mein bhi bahut saari baaten di gayi hain. Vedon mein, vaigyanikon ko prachin ayurvedic aushadhiyon ke baare mein gyaan mila hai, jaise haldi ko dard ke liye upyog kiya jaata hai.
Hindu puraano mein jyotish aur brahmavigyan ke anek sandarbh hain. Hindu granthon mein surya mandal ke baare mein vistar se likha gaya hai, jismein grahon ke sthaan aur gati ka varnan hai. Ye vishleshan ajeeb tareeke se sahi hai aur kuchh vidvaanon ne bhi kaha hai ki hinduon ke paas surya mandal ka heliocentric model pahle se tha, jo 16vi sadi ke pashchimiyduniya mein bhi upalabdh hua tha.
Hindu puraano ke anusaar, brahmand mein anant brahmand aur kai yug hote hain, aur vaigyanikon ne bhi anek brahmandon ke astitva ka pata lagaya hai. Vah mante hain ki hamara brahmand ek matra hai, lekin hindu dharm mein anant brahmandon ke baare mein bhi likha gaya hai.
Hindu dharm ke granthon mein anek pauranik kathayen hain jo vaigyanik tathyon se milati hain. Hanuman ji ka lekh kholana, Ram ji ka Setu nirman, Saraswati nadi ka abhav, ye sabhi prasangik kathayen hain jo aaj vaigyanik tathyon ke saath saath charcha ke vishay bhi hain.
Lekin vaigyanik aur puraano ke beech ke milan par bhi vichar karna zaroori hai. Kai baar, puraane kathayon ko sahi tarah se samajhna mushkil ho sakta hai, kyonki bahut saare puraane kathayon mein prachin kal ki sanskriti aur vichaar ka prabhav hai.
Ant mein, hindu dharm ke puraano aur vaigyanik jankariyon ka milan ek khula dwaar hai jismein ham apane dharm ke puraane tathyon ko vaigyanik drishtikon se dekh sakte hain. Isse ham apane dharmon ke baare mein aur jyada gyaan prapt kar sakte hain aur apane samajh mein aane vale vaigyanik aur adhunik vishyon se bhi jud sakte hain.
